“neurotheology”: “Defined as “the study of the neurobiology of religion and spirituality,” it claims the human brain is pre-wired to experience spiritual phenomena. Nonbelievers use the studies to argue God is a figment of synaptic excitability, while believers say the Creator designed our brains specifically to experience Him.”
